Credit Cards VS Debit Cards

These days everyone needs a credit or debit card to not only buy things but to book airline tickets, reserve hotel rooms, and lease cars while traveling. You will need to pick between a debit card vs credit card. There are numerous advantages of both cards.

One advantage of using a debit card instead of a credit card is that if your place of employment offers direct deposit, your paycheck can be credited to your debit card. This can also be done with social security and unemployment deposits. This gives people access to cash a lot faster than waiting for a check in the mail and then having to deposit or cash it at a bank. The direct deposit also avoids a check cashing fee that many banks and check cashing stores charge.

The disadvantage is the debit cards charge a transaction fee every time you use your debit card. The fee varies from card to card and is usually around $3.00 per purchase. No matter how large or small the purchase the fee is the same.

There is a big advantage of using a credit card instead of debit or savings when buying gasoline at the pump. When using a debit card some gas stations will put a $50 hold on your debit card for up to a week. This doesn’t happen when using a credit card.

Debit card and credit card use has a lot of advantages and disadvantages. Credit is great if you always pay your balance before the payment due date is posted to avoid fees and interest charges. Few people do this however and this makes credit cards a bad choice for many people making purchases, as they will end up having to pay a considerable amount of interest on top of their purchase amount.

The advantage of conservative credit card use and paying on time is that it’ll greatly improve a person’s credit score rating. On the other hand, misuse of a credit card will damage a person’s credit rating, and effect future requests for credit, such as; different credit cards and applying for home and auto loans. The way a person treats their credit can also affect the rates they are quoted for car insurance and the amount they will pay in rent at corporate owned and operated apartment complexes.

When it comes to the question of debit vs credit, the answer might be that both are good to have for their own reasons. And always use both wisely, if you are financially conservative then you will be able to handle a credit card easily, if you are somewhat financially reckless then you should probably limit how much you use credit and focus more on making your purchases with savings.

Right after months of not acquiring an importer for kona bikes. Rumour has it that kona UK are going to be opening in June 2011. It has been a waste that it has happened this year as it was such a sturdy range. Cross bikes had been looking great with models like the Jake and Jake the snake. Sales on these two models over the final few years have grown massively and there has been a definate grow in cross bikes across the marketplace. The important Jake which can be the best cross bike from kona was all based close to a carbon frame with magic wheels. A true head turner.

Sadly there just weren’t many of them about. It is un certain if kona Road Bikes UK will have an early launch of 2012 bikes or if they will continue with the current 2011 models. Most of these were purchased from the old supplier by just 2 bike shops. Because of this there have been some amazing deals going around on all 2011 bikes. This is across all platforms. Mountain bike, road bike, cross bike and so on.

Probably the best deals I have seen though have been from rutland cycling. The 2010 kona zing road bike is at an amazing price. Smashing pretty much every other road bike offer on the Market. They also had the kona dew range. These are a great commuter bike. Ideal for those who’s employers refuse to do cyclescheme and similar schemes. They were all available online so take a look. There are few other offers about at the moment and with produ croon being cut from some brands it seems the most sought after makes and models may still sell out this year.

Not that the nation could have a reduction in bikes even though. It’s rumoured that there might be 2012 models obtainable from late June some 6 months ahead of we actually get to 2012. Crazy.

Still, this will only be from a couple of brands. Hopefully it will mean that there is something new coming out. Usually when this happens there are some amazing bikes to come out. Last year it saw trek bring out the best bike of the year with the trek fuel ex8. This bike won most voted by many of the magazine reviews. So heres to hoping it happens again.

rutland cycling are one of the top road bikes shop in England. Believe me this folks are amazing. They offer such a amazingselection of bikes its unbelievable.
